Awkwafina
Awkwafina is an American actor and musician. She began by releasing humorous, cleverly written rap songs that addressed topics like race and sexuality. Then she expanded her audience to Hollywood. Nora Lum began her musical journey as a trumpet player. She was born in Forest Hills Queens, she was a child of Chinese immigrants and Koreans. Her classical, jazz and hip-hop training began as she was just a teenager. In the college years, she remained focused on her studies, and then majored both in women's study and journalism. While she was for a brief amount during her time in Beijing, Mandarin language classes were offered as well. She didn't start focusing on music until after she completed her degree. The year 2012 saw My Vag (as a retort to Mickey Avalon's My Dick) became an online hit, and it was featured in her debut album Yellow Ranger. The album also featured viral hit tracks, such as body positive Queef and a wink-y home tour NYC Bitche$. The second track linked into Awkwafina's NYC Travel Guide, published in the year 2015, and was a different idea. Her resume contained both an musicians and an author. The singer was seeking to further her career in acting. Alongside early TV shows like Girl Code and Tawk - she was in films Neighbors 2 Storks & Bad Rap. In 2018, she scored major roles in a variety of high-profile films like Dude Ocean's Eight and Crazy Rich Asians. This June, she released her debut EP "In Fina We Trust".
